Hi,
I just want to know, would dosbox run a 16bit application (not game) on windows xp?
If so, which version of dosbox should I try?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Only if you run 16-bit Windows inside Dosbox.

Thanks for the reply h-a-l-9000,
Is that changeable in the dosbox settings?
Would you know if the original config.sys and autoexec.bat settings in Windows 95, need to be exactly the same in the config.nt and autoexec.nt in windows xp?
Which version of dosbox would be the best?
Sorry about all the questions,
Kevin
You need to install i.e. Windows 3.1 inside Dosbox. config.nt and autoexec.nt have nothing to do with Dosbox. Best version is CVS. To run Windows in Dosbox ems=false must be set.

Looks like I'll have to read into that a bit more.
Thanks for the pointers.
Kevin
I have now got a copy of the latest version of DOSBox CVS and also the latest version of D-Fend.
So all I need now is a copy of Win 3.1? Install CVS and D-Fend, then install the win 3.1 into the DOSBox CVS folder?
There is a guide here: Windows 3.1x DOSBox Guide

I thought that would be the one I need.
Thanks.
