I got a Gigabyte GA-MV800pmc for my celeron 420 Conroe-L.
I gonna use it for a similiar project of Phills but with agp card and dualboot with xp for simple games

Thanks! It will be a while before I can put this into its home system (probably 440BX + P3 1ghz) and test it out but I'll look out for yours in this thread.

If you have the time, perhaps scan in the manual and upload to Vogonsdrivers - thereby, anyone who in future acquires such a board can then just download the manual

Got a CPU for my notebook 😀 Intel Pentium SX969
the bearing of the fan is not in the best condition but its working. The CPU is a reserve for me, in the notebook there is a 133MHz one, this is 75. Notebook is under repair now, the display is broken off unfornutely. Also CCFL is dead, so I will change it to LEDs. Will post something when its ready. If you are interested some specs: 541MB HDD, swappable floppy and 2xspeed CD reader, 8MB ram on board - I have two 8Mb and two 16Mb sticks but IDK if they dont work or the board has some problems. Battery leaked out so plastics has weird colors. CMOS battery had 0,36V and was counting down 0,1V every 5 seconds so dead 😒 Its a LEO Designote 35series, I think its monochrome. It has a nice Yamaha soundcard and much ports. When ready (at least a few weeks I will post photos, now its in horrible condition... As you see if u dont want floppy or CD reader u can have two batteries. And I dont know whats that port near PS2

Just received a JumpTec DIMM-PC. This must be the smallest 486 ever made. It has a AMD 486-SX @ 66mhz (and yes, SX, because the sc410 doesn't have a FPU), 16MB of Ram, and an sandisk flash drive with 16MB...
It also has 2 RS232 port, 1 LPT, 1 FDD port, 1 IDE port, and a 16bit ISA.

And now the really good stuff 😎 Another Aptiva 2144. With the matching mouse and keyboard. I have been looking for an model M2 for ages, but when they show up they're damn expensive. The machine comes with DX2-66, 540mb HDD, 16mb RAM, ESS688 and some random NIC.

And more good stuff. Got this for free, by mere coincidence. One of our suppliers at work was replacing their entire softwaresystem last week and at the same time replacing all computers. So I asked their driver what would become of their old machines. He didn't know and wondered why I would want to know. When I answered that I was collecting old computers he said he had one he had been meaning to throw away. A laptop with a red thingy in the middle of the keyboard. This said it all for me. Then he said that its old, probably 10 years (yeah, try 25 years). But anyway, today he had it with him. In a nice bag (hp) but with awesome accesories. The dockingstation, the right PSU, matching mouse and the very nice external IBM numpad. No dongels for the PCMCIA cards though (modem and lan). But what can you ask when it's free 😁

It's a Thinkpad 360Cs. 486Sx33, 8mb RAM. The screen is not lighting up however and at boot with external screen it's can't find the external cd-drive. I have to ask him about that 🤣

EDIT: The screen works. The lidswitch needed som excercise.

I made a little offer on whas seemed like somebodies 1980's computer hobby supply. I was not disappointed!

There was a lot of stuff that wasn't directly interesting to me, some newer HDD's, a few hundred(!) blank DVD-R and DVD+R, cables (serial, parallel, SCSI). My eye was caught by a nice red Raaco storage cabinet, with some interesting looking contents.

Some CPUS's. The 5 small ones are Intel 286 8MHz parts. They came with sockets that can be soldered in and use a sort of heatsink to clamp the CPU in the socket. Only two of those included though.

I'm happy to get the 40MHz 386 and Cyrix FasMath!

And then a whole heap of BIOS chips (which I should probably dump to files and put on the internet), sorry about the flash.

Now I can organize my zip disks!

Something I didn't buy today... was too honest with a clueless seller who had a Gravis Ultrasound PnP on offer for EUR 15 in a misspelt listing. Now he's asking EUR 250 and bidding is over EUR 100 already...

So I wasn't the only one here that saw that. I too was weirded out by the fact he had all the "vintage", "retro" and "collectors' item" mumbojumbo yet asked a ridiculously low price for it. He had an ad for AGP and PCI cards as well, at €1,50 each (at least, that's what it suggested), one being an Orchid Voodoo1.

Recently on Tweakers.net another guy got a Voodoo4 4500 PCI card out of his bin of old cards and put it up for €5. I was on that immediately, but that guy caught on too, and bidding was over €125 last I checked. Good thing I went in totally expecting it to be too good to be true. 😵 🤣

I knew I wasn't getting the Orchid, but I tried..... 🤣

Yep, spotted that Voodoo 4 too. Slightly miffed that the Ultrasound seller didn't even thank me. He did however make separate ads of the exact two things I told him he was asking too little for...

Oh well, I already have a GUS Classic and I hate PnP out of principle, so I can live without it.

Not yet. Interesting design V1, very compact.

Spotted a couple of these complete in box, but useless. I remember these things. Portable 90s email. Just find a RJ-11 jack and you're good to go. 🤣

Why do you feel the need to inform the seller? That's just stupid. You could have bought it (assuming the seller really didn't know the retail value) or if you really wanted to make friends, you could have shared the offer with another enthusiast.. It's offers like these that keep the hobby interesting and affordable. Almost nobody wants to buy a € 250 25 year old sound card from an unknown private seller who doesn't offer any form of warranty or ability to test it.

I'm as much in favour of an amazing deal as anyone, but only if it's an honest deal where the seller knows what he's selling or makes absolutely clear he doesn't care.
