So the installer to this game refuses to run because it "requires a higher version of Internet Explorer" than I have installed. Naturally I don't feel like tracking down IE6 for Win98 or whatever it wants.

I know there's a way to bypass this - because I've done it before - but I can't remember how to do it. Have any of you got this to install?

I'm using the original EA Games release from 2002, if that makes any difference. Copying the already-installed game over from a WinXP machine doesn't work either, that gives me an exception error when I try to run it.
