I Have a new pc,with XP.I'm trying to play some DOS games.I've tried the compatibility wizard, all different combinations of settings(win 95/98,256 colors, diable visual themes)I've tried everything.None of the command prompts seem to work. This is my first posting, maybe someone can direct me to a thread that deals with my question? Some games come right up,others i have to run setup.exe To get the game screen to show up.Then, when i click play,it goes to the launcher and won't accept or recognize any prompts. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your being to general. List the games that you are having trouble with.

Also, compatibility mode has almost absolutely nothing to do with DOS games. It's almost 95% for windows applications. Yes, there are a couple of NTVDM fixes in there but in my tests of over 600+ DOS games I have never had to use compatibility mode.

DOSFreak, thanks for the reply. The games that i'm having trouble with all golf)jack nicklaus the tour collection, all american golf(by sierra sports),world of golf.I'm also having problems installing/playing wundows 95/98 gamesIs it something that i'm doing wrong?I have other games older and newer that installed and play fine(with the occasional exception of interruption of gameplay by IE.(i should get firefox).I've heard that some DOS games won't work on XP no matter what you do,i wish that i could figure out if that's the case with these DOS games.Thanks.
