Open your dosbox.conf and change fullfixed=false to fullfixed=true
Set fullresolution=false to fullresolution=0x0

You'll probably have to do a bit more tweaking but that should at least get it to work.

The other window is a "console" that will tell you certain things about your DosBox configuration or give you an error if something doesn't work.
