I agree. However, sometimes, the mods or admins won't be happy in small cases.

What part of Texas LoL, as I'm in the middle I'd like to visit .

A PCjr would be nice to add here in the room of odds and ends. I have a 2yr old daughter i'd like to have a few older systems for her to learn on, then move up the chain as I did. Hope it all works out well for you there too.

Just a guy with a bad tinkering habit.

So.... I was killing time on YouTube, when I catched this Livestream recording of a major sale happening on Texas.

Dunno if this is of any interest for anyone but I felt I should spread the word.

I'd pick up a couple of systems (who am I kidding, I'd pick up a lot of stuff) if I wasn't across the pond.

There was a thread on Vogons posted a month or two ago about this place. Looks like they opened up the doors for sales now.

I could go to Vermont to go to Ribbon Recyclers to buy some hardware, however, it's a long drive from my area.

I'd also gladly spend quite some time there, even if it was just helping setting up auctions \ sales on ebay. There's loads of NOS Stuff there.

Looks like I might be making a road trip next weekend. Any idea when they are closing for good?

Anyone know if they'll still be open on Monday, June 3? I'm all set for a road trip, but I'm not interested in driving 9 hours just to find them closed down. The phone number on their website doesn't work anymore. I've also tried emailing, but no response as of yet!

Well, I made the trip to Dallas, but it was in vain. Not a soul in sight. It is incredibly sad knowing so much is going to be lost. So close, yet so far.

I thought something in that video or the comments said that you had to have an appointment.

Justin Scott (et al?) made arrangements to reopen the store on weekends - all openings are listed as events in this group:

Last video... I want to cry... Heaven...

Do you realize it made me think he died?
Just for a few seconds but that's enough 😉

Latest video would be better 😉

Anyway - it's awesome. It's like pharaoh's tomb or something like that 😳 I could spend whole vavcations there 😁

He should change his name to "Thrift-store Clint".

He is the real "Clint East-wood".

Come to think of it Clint Eastwood was always a poor guy in his Movies.

I think he is loosing his audience. He needs to re-invent himself with some more pleasing content.
How about traveling across America and visiting retro arcades ?
Stick to reviewing games and old software / hardware manufacturers , He is good at that.
Old computer hardware is boring and it's all been done before.

I definitely saw at least one silver flatscreen Sony trinitron monitor in that warehouse! That place literally is a gold mine of retro computer parts.

It would be amazing if it could be curated, organized and sold by some people experienced with ecommerce and shipping things safely.
