Has anyone run Diablo 1 from GOG on Mac? Usually I just use DOSBox, but this one's a windows program.

I've successfully run the GOG installer via Wine, so I have the whole Diablo folder and associated files that GOG would install onto a Windows machine hard drive. It includes the ~500MB .mpq file that lets it run direct from the hard drive without a CD.

I've been trying to use Wineskin Winery to run it, but can't seem to get it to work.

Has anyone done it?

Whoops! Sorry just answered my own question. Got it to work using "devolutionX" which seems to be kind of like an Exult for Ultima 7, but for Diablo.

I downloaded version 0.4.0 here: https://github.com/diasurgical/devilutionX/releases

And then I just copied the ~500MB .mpq file over to the folder and it worked fine.

Well...guess this is the best way for anybody trying to run it on Mac...
