Truly sorry if this the wrong section, but I couldn't find a better place. I want to extract some files from an old dos game, its files are in .dax format. There's one pif. I've tried using Dragon Unpacker, but to no avail.

Dragon Unpacker is a general game unpacker. For more specific games you usually have to go to their respective fan site and see if someone created a utility to extract the files.....
What game is it?
Neverwinter nights. The first one, the 1991 one.
This page has some utilities.... http://members.aol.com/autery/
Haven't tried 'em yet but it seems like they are just extractors/viewers and not able to actually replace data.
I don't want to replace anything, I just want to extract the title music from it. I can't seem to figure out how to do this, I'm using daxview, but I don't know which file holds the music.
I'm not sure it supports Neverwinter Nights, but GAP is an excellent program that works with many different games (some old and some a little newer).
Nope, that doesn't work. 🙁
