Hi have a K6-2/450AFX that I'd like to stick on my ASUS P5A-B. However, the chip says on the front 2.2V but the manual says 2.4V:

Manufacturer CPU Type Single Plane Dual Plane VID0 VID1 VID2 VID3

AMD (.25micron) K6-III/400,450 ---- 2.4V(Dual) [1-2] [1-2] [2-3] [1-2]
K6-2/450,475

AMD (.25micron) K6-2/266,300,333, ---- 2.2V(Dual) [1-2] [2-3] [1-2] [1-2]
350,366,380,400
K6-233,266,300

I'm sure you understand my dilemma... Which settings to use?

Edit: Full manual @ https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock7/a … -b/p5ab-107.pdf

It will work on both settings.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

Thanks. It's all a bit new territory for me. I'd rather double check than blow shit up 😀

the K6-2/450AHX is a 2.4V cpu apparently, maybe the AFX just wasn't out when the manual was printed, I'd presume setting what's on the CPU should be best.

It's a bit difficult to see on this photo (actual chip), but it says "2.2V CORE/3.3V":
