I need a RAM disk for Win2K that initializes early enough in the boot process that I can put the swap file on it.
Why the hell do I want to do this? I installed Windows onto the 1GB flash drive in my Computerlab thin client. I can't upgrade that, and I'm uncomfortable running the swap on older flash memory. This thing has a GB of RAM so I'm happy to section half of it off to use for swap instead.
Yes, I realize how perverse using actual RAM for virtual memory is, but in this specific case, it makes some sense. 😜
If this were Win98 I'd load the RAM drive in Config.sys, but not sure how to do it on 2K. Any suggestions?
