Going through my old stuff and came across an IBM Aptiva Recovery CD from mid 1996. Australian region looking at the directories. It's the Windows 95 version not the OS/2 one. If anyone has an Aptiva an wants an ISO to put their systems to factory software condition sing out. Maybe Vogons could host the ISO for future users as well.

Vogons certainly won't host the ISO if it contains Windows 95 and additional software, which is old but still not free.

That's fine I'll up load it to archive.org, winworldpc.com, vetusware or folk can pm me if they require it. It needs a valid Win95 key btw. I appreciate Vogons concerns about copy wright infringements. I also appreciate old system users/owners desire to put systems as new as to original configuration.

I purchased some IBM Aptiva recovery software but it does not work.
I think it has to be the original hard-drive in order for it to work.
My Aptiva has a different hard drive from the original and it is larger.
Also it does not have the same CDROM setup as original.
So the restore ends up failing.

I think all your hardware has to be original config other wise the recovery will fail.

They're eazy enough to grab software off if you know what you are doing.
