I wasn't able to find any info on this, but for some reason only the F1 key works with dosbox. I have the MS Wireless Desktop Elite keyboard. Is it something with the keyboard? Is there a way to get my F-keys working in dosbox?

I am running dosbox 0.63.

I just switched to a regular keyboard and my function keys works just peachy.

Suggestion to dosbox developers, please put in support for the new wireless keyboards for function key support! Would be really nice 😁.

press f-lock on your keyboard.
has nothing to do with dosbox.

I know people will hate me for this, but: "You should read the manual that comes with your keyboard, it's all explained in there."

Even hardware has a kind of README 😉

MS seems to have really screwed the design of this keyboard. I remember several support calls because of this 😒
I didn't know about the f-lock "feature" back then, so I told the users to get a decent keyboard instead 🤣

Even with f-lock for some reason my function keys did not work. If it works for everyone else, must just be a system quirk I have then 😀.

Maybe f-lock is silently dismissed by DosBox. Try activating f-lock in Windows (check with any windows app) and then start DosBox.

That doesn't make sense. F-lock is probably hardwired in the keyboard, or else captured by the system keyboard driver.

Exactly, it is usually a driver thing, so when going via DirectX, the driver may not honour the f-lock key anymore because of direct access and such stuff.
