Hello everybody.
Did anybody try to use this Atari monitor with a PC? I'll be getting a complete Atari 1040 ST + SM147 very soon and being able to reuse this CRT for something else would be nice 😀

Never have but don’t you need a vga to Atari plug?

Isn't Atari 640x400 hires output pure TTL/digital ? If so, wouldn't require this a special circuitry to interface it with VGA's analogue RGBHV output ?
Edit: Ok, let me rephrase this. The original SM124 was monochrome and accepted TTL signals only (for better image quality).

So it depends. Does the SM127 contain TTL logic or is it analogue ?
If it is the latter, similat to a mono VGA monitor, it may work.
Some analogue VGA monitors can accept digital (ON/OFF, "fingered") signals just fine,
that's why these simple Atari-VGA screen adapters work the other way round.

As far as I know, the 147 has similar circuitry just bigger CRT size (14" instead of 12"). It' expects the same 640x480 70 Hz input as SM124.
