I get that error when I try to run one of my old games, although I have been told many times that DOS box will make this game work.
Any help?
Thanks

Try the DOS version of this (what?) game, not the windows version.
What OS do you use?
XP. How do i use the dos version
First things first. What is the name of the program/game you are trying to run?
Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

Type the name of the dos executable and press the return key.
Anyways, why don't you simply run the windows executable
in XP natively???
Because it doesnt work like that in XP, hence why I am using Dos Box. The file is called USM98-99.exe.
What error message do you get when running it in windows?
Ultimate Soccer Manager 98-99 isn't a DOS game, and will therefore not work with DOSBox. Use the Win 98 compatility mode that comes with XP.
I tried that but it didnt work. Someone told me to use Dos Box. Can anyone else help?
Freddo told you above, it is not a DOS game so it will not work in DOSBOX!

Well, Dosbox definitely won't run it because it's a windows 95/98 game.
According to this thread - Ultimate Soccer Manager 98/99 - it's possible to get it to run under XP (but possibly with no sound) using Windows 98 compatiblity mode, and disabling visual themes, but looks like there's issues with video drivers on some systems.
Itired but the screen is split in 2, with the left side of the screen on the right and the right side of the screen on the left.
