Hello everyone,
I am having trouble getting sound to play via Dosbox, for any game whatsoever. As soon as I load Dosbox it gives me the following error:
DOSBox version 0.74-3 Copyright 2002-2019 DOSBox Team, published under GNU GPL. --- CONFIG:Loading primary settings from config […]
DOSBox version 0.74-3

CONFIG:Loading primary settings from config file C:\Users\scott\AppData\Local\DOSBox\dosbox-0.74-3.conf
MIXER:Can't open audio: DirectSound CreateSoundBuffer: Unsupported audio format , running in nosound mode.
MIDI:Opened device:win32
I am using a USB sound card, plug and play drivers, and it works for everything else, but Dos box doesn't seem to want to see it. So far I have done a windows scan to verify my system files are intact, set the sound card specifically in the windows sound setting menu, and reinstalling Direct X (9). I haven't modified the config file at all.
The game I am trying to play currently is 'One Must Fall: 2097' but I don't believe the game doesn't matters.
Any idea how I can fix this? Thank you very much in advance! 😀
