This is a weird one. I originally bought the LSL Collection back in 1997 and played it on a Pentium 166 with an AWE64 inside. I recall it having sound effects including the sound "YES!" when you solve a puzzle. Now, I've installed LSL6 (multiple versions including speech) on several PCs using different Sound Blaster cards (including that very same AWE64) but I do not get ANY sound effects. Just a generic "dun dun dun" instead of the old "YES!" which sounds like it comes from Adlib or MT32 (depending on which I chose).
Does anyone have any why this could be? I tried a 386, P75 and P233MMX running DOS 5, 6.22 and 7 and all three have the same problem. Very weird.
