Hi there.

I have an SC-1630 Formosa ESS Soundcard in my amiga 2000.
This soundcard has a primary IDE interface. So the bridgeboard can boot cf-cards from it.
Coretest reports readingspeeds of about 1MB/sec, wich is totaly fine for my A2286/8Mhz.

Though this is a great solution, but there are two problems left.
1.) First is that I don't get any joystick working on the gameport of the card.
Every testprogram I have used reports "joystick: none"
The jumpers are correct as far as I remember (joystick active).
I can't figure out what the problem might be.

2.) Second is that the ESS card has a good opl-clone, but some old stuff does not sound right.
e.g. the music in dynablaster and jill sounds wrong, also the sfx/speech of bodyblows sounds "muffy".
but that might be due to only having a 286 with 8Mhz.

Are there any soundcards known, that also have a primary IDE interface?
What soundcard offer a real opl2/3 and also a real IDE interface.
If it is a secondary one it might be bootable too, if I add a XT-IDE Bios on my lan-card
that also sits in that machine.

Thx for your help.

Greetings
