Before the update I was able to use the forum on my IBM thinkpad 760 running win98 and SeaMonkey 1.1.19.
It now throws an error saying the site uses a security protocol which isn't enabled.
Thanks in advance

AFAIK Seamonkey didn't support TLS 1.2 until v2.21. You can use Retrozilla with the ciphers needed to access the site.
Re: List of Web Browsers For All Operating Systems
You can also use K-Meleon 74 with Kernelex.
If you really want to use Seamonkey you can use a proxy.
There's also Opera version "10.70" (really 10.63 modified with the TLS 1.2 ciphers IIRC) if you want to go that route. I've found Opera runs a bit better than later Gecko-based stuff on 9x.

I’m interested, could you recommend a proxy?

Opera 10.70 is really a beta version of Opera. It's not 10.63. TLS 1.2 was officially added by Opera to that beta version. All I did was modify it to work on 9x. It works great on 95 and 98 but not for vogons unless you use a proxy since it doesn't have the ciphers that vogons requires.
PM heinoganda on the MSFN forums for ProxHTTPSProxy. It runs on 2000 and above but you can point your old machines to it.
There are other proxies out there that you can use but this is specifically geared towards old browsers and it's simple.
There is also: WebOne - proxy for old browsers to make them Web 2.0-capable but not sure if it works with vogons or not.
Thanks! I'll give a look
