Does your offer still stand? I ask because I messaged you but I've not yet received a reply. Also because I picked up another LS-120 today. This time from a parallel port enclosure. This time the model is LKM-F433-1 as opposed to LKM-F933-1. The older model draws 1.7A instead of 2.7A. IT also has a manufacturing date of April 1997.

One difference that may pertain to the design spec of the bezel is that the "lip" - for lack of a better way of putting it - on the mettal chassis above the flap is 24.05mm wide, as opposed to 13.36mm for the newer model. If you count the total amount of space around the lip on the newer model, it also looks to be 24.05mm.

6800 Ultra (AGP)?

I have a BFG Ultra 6800 OC (AGP) that is likely not functional. I bought it several years ago, after thinking (incorrectly) that the 6800 Ultra was the fastest card with 98SE drivers. I remember being annoyed that I had to sift through so many PCI-E versions while looking for an AGP.

I also have the PCI-E version. After acquiring most of a 2005 rig, including 7800 GTX (256MB) in SLI, I thought I'd track down another 6800 Ultra PCI-E to do a generational comparison. I bought the last one for relatively little.

Now? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but there are not even any PCI-E versions on Ebay for less than $180 USD.

Yes, it's a 6800 Ultra AGP. Seems to be the reference version. The seller who I bought it from is the original owner, he said he ran it overclocked and runs fast and stable. It is going to replace the X1950 Pro I currently have in my RDD, and provide me some more oomph when it comes to 2d performance, something the other card lacks due to the legendary huge overhead of ATI drivers.

It seems that the EPROM wasnt damaged by the sunlight. 😀 Chips P82C435-P82A436

The BIOS chip is ok. I managed to save the image file. I attached it to this message.

The Chip is SGS-Thomson 88745S M27256-2FI. My TL866A programmer didn't have this in the list of supported IC's but I found out that it is equivalent with ST27256.

Quick question, how much are these CPUs worth? I have them all on offer for about $18-20 each:

Old crap is worth whatever someone wants to pay for it. Are they tested or not?

I'd say that the PPro is probably a pretty good deal, and the Cx5x86 is pretty much spot on. Personally I wouldn't pay this much for any of the others.

I already have an IBM 5x86-100 3.3V (which is probably already a Cyrix 5386-120GP 3.45V?) so I'm not sure if I really want that.. I have no AMD 5x86 CPUs though I don't know how steep $18 for one really is, it's not something I normally pay for a CPU. For almost the same price I can get a 386DX-40 motherboard with cache from him.. I have no motherboard for the PPro, and no way to test it. He says they are working, but I wouldn't really take him up on that. He has 486 motherboards on sale that he says are working but lack BIOS chips or keyboard controllers..

Had been looking for an upgrade for an old LC040 Mac (Performa 476) and thought it would be impossible to find. Then up popped a local auction for a strange looking board with no description. Turned out to be a fairly rare Apple PPC601 CPU upgrade:

It has a 66MHz CPU but will only run at 50MHz in my machine.
Cleaned up the old thermal paste and noticed there is some discolouration around the core, and there is some bubbling in the top plastic coating:

The dark streak towards the bottom of the chip is swollen and feels like an air pocket. Hopefully it isn’t a sign of terminal failure.

that almost looks like it overheated at some point to me :\

I got this gigabyte dual socket 370 board today along with 14 random other motherboards... unfortunately like at least half of them have some form of damage, the packaging job wasn't phenomenal.
unfortunately this looks beyond repair apart from changing the ram slot... and that's not an easy one to replace or even find probably :\

upon very close inspection of the sellers pictures I saw some of the damage was already there, some of it got worse, and some of it is new... the annoying part about this is that this wasn't even a scrap lot for once... but "removed from working PCs".
I really don't have the spoons arguing with the seller though at the moment :c

From the angle of the DIMM slots it looks like the GA-6VTXDR-C to me, right?
That's exactly the board I have in my dual Tualatin box, used it as a home server some 12 years ago. It's a nice and stable board, but unfortunately lacks the AGP slot. I still don't have a good PCI graphics card to pair it with. But it is going to receive an upgrade from 2x 1.26 GHz to 2x 1.4 GHz soon. It's maxed out with 2 GB of SD-RAM, too 😄

What a shame that yours is damaged though!

GA-6VXDR7, so no tualatin support even unfortunately ^^ it was still the main reason why I even bought all of these boards...
at least there's some other interesting ones in there...

Agreed, except its missing the secondary 6-pin power connector (doesn't look like its ever been there?)

probably because it's a passive card and not meant to run at higher power I'd guess.

I picked up a GA-6VTXDR-C recently (no pics yet) and I've maxed the RAM to 4GB of PC133R (though a little flakey) - you sure yours doesn't take more?

Nope, it's a 225W board and should have both power sockets - think the 9350 only had the one but with a different heatsink
