Man, so much research on forums such as this and google and my head is spinning. 😵
Okay here goes, since I don't wanna lay down the cash for a LAPC-I, and heck, can't even find a CM-500, does this combo sound killer?
SB16 ISA with the Yamaha DB50XG daughter board. Takes up 1 ISA slot
Roland SCC-1 w/ the external MT-32. Takes up 1 ISA slot
SB16s and MT-32s seem plentiful on Ebay, the DB50XG and SCC-1 seem to come around every now and then too.
I guess I have a few questions?
1)Doesn't the DB50xg and MT-32 stomp on each other's grounds?
2)Guess this will be a PITA software wise to point to which setup. Guess different boot ups/game install setups will be required
3)Physically how to connect all this stuff. I'm guessing just a Y from the two ISA cards into a single output, or better yet, a reciever with 2 inputs.
4)Am I really causing a huge fuss over nothing? Should I just stick with one or the other and just live with it?
:help:
I'm diggin all the sites on the net with actual SOUND examples... makes all this frustration worth while and something to look forward to.
