First, many thanks
I run tr1 quite slow. FPS=25 when 640x480; =12 when 1024x768;
midmapping disabled.
my computer: Duron 1.2 ; 512 RAM ; on board card (sis 740)
can I do something to make Laura run faster?

and,the keys behaves weiredly; I cant switch between the game and desktop with "alt + tab".
third problem: things (like doors) floated around or even in the air.
sis 740. Eeek. Its going to be hard. If you are doing aswell as 25fps then I guess you must have found OpenGL drivers; where did you get those?
Something worth a go, is go to the "Red Baron" page of the Glidos web site, and grab the alternative Glide2x.dll from there and put it in C:\Program Files\Glidos
Oh yeah: or you could try Glidos v1.33rc5, which is posted in one of the topics here. That would allow you to try DirectX 9.... or maybe that is what you are doing.
The floating about is hidden things poking through. That's a depth buffer problem. Probably you have a 16bit depth buffer on the sis
thanks
XP supports opengl, right? Below is my openGlid.ini:
[Options]
WrapperPriority=2
CreateWindow=0
InitFullScreen=0
EnableMipMaps=0
IgnorePaletteChange=0
Wrap565to5551=1
EnablePrecisionFix=1
EnableMultiTextureEXT=1
EnablePaletteEXT=1
EnableVertexArrayEXT=1
TextureMemorySize=16
FrameBufferMemorySize=8
(I had to change the "EnableVertexArrayEXT" value from 0 to 1. )
Failed when download Glide2x.dll from the "Red Baron" page. Anyway, i care less about the lame speed than the "floating" thing. How should I do to solve the "floating" problem?
XP supports OpenGL just fine.
The problem is that your video card is one of the worst in existence.
Here's a link: http://www.sis.com/products/sis740.htm
Looks like this video card only supports DX7.....which really isn't that big of a problem but the real problem is that it's highly doubtful that SIS has very good OpenGL drivers if they have any at all.
Heck, you'd be better off going to a small computer store and picking up a TNT1 for $20. heh.
Dosfreak, sis740 support DX9.

Ah, I see "Precision Fix: false" there. Strange. That's a feature of OpenGLide that might have gotten rid of the floaty things.
Yes!!
but why ...
I had reducted my xp with nlite. Is that ?
Lost me. I don't understand what bit your asking about now.
