Hi all,

I bagged this lovely little laptop and I've put a 4GB compact flash card in it. I've used FDISK to create a primary partition of just short of 2GB, and installed DOS 6.22 on it.

But then when rebooting, after the memory check, all I get is a blinking hyphen, no command prompt, nothing.

Booting from floppy, the partition seems absolutely fine.

Any help?

Hi "gladders",

Did you make the partition active? try running "fdisk /MBR" to create the master boot record.

Also did you upgrade the BIOS as i had to on my 410 to get Bigger HDD's working proper as there wqas an issue with drives over 1gig.

Great Laptop, Still use my 410 to program radios by serial port!
