"noname" - I was just about to sort out a new equiv file but to do it I will need your capture of Folly as well. It would be good if you could do as Paul suggests and let us have your capture files for the whole game, but if you don't have the time right now and would like a quick fix for just these levels could you post your capture for Folly?

Alright, here's Folly. I'll give you the rest of the levels later.

OK - if this replacement equiv file doesn't do the job it means that I will also need a capture of Qualopec....(I forgot that I had based some of the mappings on that level too - have a bit of a hangover so please excuse any technical hitches!)

To test this out you will need to delete 4 folders from 'JC/_05_St Francis_Folly': 5D64DD6CF356637D951848EDD8777F38 / 5520E1D3AFB73ABD47BA480C59D5D735 / 677095CA9D84964106A8588218549276 / A202E3BAC8D60830028F9FF99B7894AE

I had included these four folders to 'manually' remap textures for Slube's version of the game. With the equiv file these are no longer necessary - in fact if they are left there they screw up the in-game ring menu.

Actually, I should have said for each PHD file, rather than each level. That would be the most useful. Probably with the archive names matching the phd file names.

By this means, I think we can eventually build a universal equiv file that any author can use to make his version-specific pack work for all versions.

JC, just a suggestion. Might be worth you keeping your original TR-version-specific equiv file and working with that when developing. Otherwise there's a risk of the combining messing up things like the M in the midas level. We should eventually be able to handle that correctly with a universal version-gereralising equiv file, but it will take a little fiddling, and there's a risk of things getting messed up in the short term.

Just in case anybody noticed...I just deleted 3 posts that I had submitted here. I was having a problem figuring out why there was an error with the replacement equiv file that I posted earlier. I've discovered the source of that error and will post a 'fixed' replacement equiv file in due course...

edit: The equiv file posted above should work - but please note the bold text regarding deleting folders....

Could anyone tell me if this has worked or whether there are still problems?

I downloaded the new equiv file and there are still missing textures. Hopefully all the other the Tomb of Qualopec I uploaded on the FTP server will help.

Hmmm...It should work because all the links were present. Are you sure that you downloaded BOTH parts of my Qualopec pack - particularly the part that included a folder named 'common' ?

Yes, I have the common folder. Inside are sub folders called enemies, items, lara, letters, passport, title, transparent, and weapons. Am I missing anything?

What in-game textures do you seem to be missing?

Mostly the dirt ground and wall textures.

Just to knock out some possibilities:
1. Have you installed ALL of the packs for Qualopec, Folly + Colosseum & Palace Midas?
2. Is the folder called '_Rome' inside the JC folder and are the replacement textures present in that folder?
3. Are the level folders present, and do they contain the alphanumeric folders choc full'o link files?
I've attached an image of what the JC folder should look like. (You can put the .txt files inside the JC folder as well now, but be sure to select 'JC' on the textures tab of the Glidos setup if you do!)

oh...if you have 'Qualopec' installed as well the JC folder should have additional folders for that - one for the level, containing link files, and one called '_Peru'. There would also be a mapping file for that level!

1. Yes, I'm pretty sure
2. Yes
3. Yes

And I have Qualopec and _Peru too.

Have you made the absolute path relative in all the mapping files?

Anyway, maybe you shouldn't worry about this until I have the version equiv file sorted. Sometime this weekend, I reckon.

I'm not using an absolute path, but yes, all the files have the same/correct path.

I don't think this problem has anything to do with the equiv file because the replacement that I posted contained all of the additional folders from noname's version. Also, the little trick I played with six of the textures shouldn't make any difference since those only appear in folders common to both versions.
I have no idea why it might make a difference, but could it be anything to do with this 'absolute path' thingy? Is there anybody else out there experiencing the same problem?

I have a copy with relative paths working here. When I get home I'll upload an a single archive that noname can try

Here's a single self-installing archive:
http://download.glidos.net/TR1/TexturePacks/JC/JC.exe

I should soon have the versions equiv file built, and then you'll be abke to combine that with the one in the pack, to make it work for your version.
