My spec:
Pentium II 300 MHz 5×66
Gigabyte ga686lx4
ES1868F MODEL: MPB-000074 with midi (IRQ is set to 5, I didn't see any other device with irq5)
Windows 98se with SP3.

My problem:

It seems that ES1868F sometimes is not working. There is no sound in Windows 98. I need to reset pc one or two times and sound is back and working ok.

I tried installing old VXD drivers from Windows 95 and only difference is that without sound there is error “This Device Cannot Start (...) (Code 10)” in device manager and after reset it's fixed. Is there something I can do to fix it? There is no problem in pure dos.

Edit. Acpi is enabled
Edit2 I figure it out that i need to open sound card irq settings in device manager , set to manual , after that go back to automatic and sound works! Dunno why but its ok:)
