All this crap in the readme and theres nothing about actally running an exe. Theres a lot of crap about mounting crap , a lot of crap functions you guys apparently get bonars thinking about , but theres nothing about anything that matters. Did you even try to make the readme useful ? From reading it I have ,
1) Realized you are proud of a lot of worthless functions ,
2) Mounted a folder to c (also this folder, heavans forbid , could not be in program files/documents and settings as apparently that would make sence) 3) Realized that I wasted a bunch of time reading the Readme and instead should have went righht to the picture tutiorial ,
4) Realized that you guys think your too cool to make a GUI that normal people can use
5) Realized that you guys think your too cool to use the functions that command promt uses , such as cd , and more importantly RUN

Thread LOCKED due to extreme lameness and rudeness of topic starter.

All this crap in the readme

What crap?

and theres nothing about actally running an exe.

You type in the name of the .exe after you mount where the .exe is located.

Theres a lot of crap about mounting crap

Hmm, disgusting picture just flashed through my mind....

Is mounting difficult for you? If so then you may wish to try the frontend D-Fend.

a lot of crap functions you guys apparently get bonars thinking about

How did you know? Ohmygod! Do you have like cameras in my house or something?

but theres nothing about anything that matters.

Wrong. Everything in the README matters. Mabye there's nothing that matters to you since you seem to just want to rant but it matters to everyone else.

Did you even try to make the readme useful?

Yep, It's called README.
It's included with DosBox.
It's in the English language which most of the internet uses.
It lists all of the functions that DosBox uses?

What else do you want it to do for you?
Mow your lawn?
Wash your dishes?
Give you a BJ?

From reading it I have ,
1) Realized you are proud of a lot of worthless functions

Please list these "worthless functions".

2) Mounted a folder to c (also this folder, heavans forbid , could not be in program files/documents and settings as apparently that would make sence)

"Mounted a folder to c"? Dosbox doesn't mount anything by default. WHY? SO YOU DON'T MESS UP YOUR COMPUTER. Also DosBox is cross-platform (meaning it runs on different hardware and operating systems) so it doesn't make any assumptions or automatic configurations.

The DosBox program is installed in your \Program Files folder.

If you wish to only use one dosbox.conf then all you have to do is create a GAMES folder in your DosBox folder and type in "Mount c ." and then "C:" in the "autoexec" section of DosBox.conf OR YOU COULD USE A FRONTEND LIKE D-FEND.

3) Realized that I wasted a bunch of time reading the Readme and instead should have went righht to the picture tutiorial

Ah, so your one of those people. So yeah. Just forget everything you read in the README because obviously you won't be using any of that. WRONG.

4) Realized that you guys think your too cool to make a GUI that normal people can use

"Cool" has nothing to do with it. DosBox is an MS-DOS emulator for gaming purposes. It's not a Windows emulator. MS-DOS does not have a GUI. It requires third party programs to do so. A GUI for a complex OS like MS-DOS is extremly hard to get right and is an extreme waste of time for the DosBox developers....they care about little things like GAME COMPATIBILITY for some odd reason.

5) Realized that you guys think your too cool to use the functions that command promt uses , such as cd , and more importantly RUN

CD works fine in DosBox.
WTF is this "RUN" you are talking about?

If you decided to post back (you'll have to start a new thread), then learn how to post properly and less rudely or you'll be banned. I'm sure other forums will put up with your rantings but that stuff doesn't cut it here.

DOSBox is a DOS emulator for playing games. Just like with a C64 or Amiga emulator, it is expected that you know (through past experience or recent research) at least a bit of how to use the operating system bundled with those systems. If you don't have that knowledge and are unwilling to research it, it's not the fault of the DOSBox authors.

The tone of your posts is also rude, immature, and uncalled for. I don't know what you could have expected to gain.
