That's a BTX machine isn't it?

My daily driver is pretty much a Dell M4800 laptop ( https://www.dell.com/lt/business/p/precision- … -workstation/pd ). I got it refurbished a few months back . I makes for a great sofa-top experience . I do have a faster desktop, but it just does not get used as much .

So that's what they call this motherboard. I believe it is. I have some lenovo TS140 and E32's too.
They perform okay.
They have 16gb ram and Nvidia GT 730's.
Quad core i5 CPU's

They are okay, but starting to get slow at boot up.

So I might go with a 8 to 12 core Xeon computer.

IBM PS/2 case but it holds an i7 4790k / GTX1070. The operator display is connected to an Arduino that is in turn connected to an internal USB header, I wrote a CoreTemp plugin to show CPU speed and temperature. Various 3D printed parts to attach fans, etc. Floppy drive also works, by means of an USB converter.

Since these pictures were taken I printed two small feet for the case to stand on, it was difficult to open and lift otherwise. Unfortunately I don't have the original foot that goes with this machine. Of course parts such as bezels are difficult to find in general.

Actually, I have that same PC but I added an SSD and some low-performance Nvidia graphics card that's slightly better than the onboard one.

I got it maybe three years ago at this shop that sells corporate surplus computers for about 300€.

Hasn't given me any trouble yet but then I also only use it for surfing the internet and very undemanding games!

I'm on a HP rig too, Proliant ML 115 G5. Opteron 1354(4 core, 2.2 GHz K10), 8 GB RAM, Geforce 6800, soundblaster Live!(no onboard sound on this machine), samsung SSD and 250 and 500GB SATA HD's. Ubuntu 19.10 and Windows 7 are installed.

Daily driver,

The oversized case and PSU are due to the hardware I was running previously:

• 2x Xeon X5690 @ 4.4GHz
• EVGA Classified SR-2
• 48GB DDR3-1600
• 4x GeForce GTX 580

Unfortunately that system was taken out by lightning through the ethernet port, and electricity became too expensive to run the cards (GPUGrid).

My everyday drivers.

On the Mac side: Mac mini 2018 (six-core i5/32GB RAM/512GB internal SSD/1TB external USB-C SSD). It's connected to a 4K monitor and is used pretty much for everything not involving gaming.

On the Windows side: HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF (i7-4770/16GB RAM/256GB SSD/2TB Seagate Firecuda/GF 1050Ti LP). Connected to a 1440x900 monitor and used only for stuff that is not Mac-compatible and some light gaming.

It's fine - as you can see, I printed an adapter to fit a intake 140mm fan and there's enough frontal grille area. There's a 120mm exhaust. I'd rather have had a 140mm exhaust as well, but that just doesn't fit. Sure, modern enthusiast cases can fit more fans, but in my experience this is enough. These Noctua fans are also really quiet. I have a single mechanical hard drive installed but that is quite audible, due to it being directly behind a grille and the fans being so quiet.

I've had the case for years but before I had a 3D printer I couldn't get everything to neatly fit, and a couple of years ago it was an issue that I only have a single bracket for a 3.5" drive and no bezel for an optical drive. Nowadays that's fine, I don't really need either.

I was going to find a bigger case for the build but i ended up having to use the NOS case I had set aside for my Athlon build. Its a nice system but I never got to complete it. The mods I did to it are not done and I still need to do some wiring.

My everyday driver is a convertible notebook:

A Lenovo L390 Yoga.

This is one of the last of its kind. The RAM and SSD can still be fully upgraded. I have put 32GB of memory and 512GB SSD space into my machine.
I really like this machine because it supports 10 finger touch and gestures so I can scroll through pages and websites with my fingers.

It also supports various Wacom styluses and pens with pressure sensitivity (1024 pressure levels), so it is very useable for artists and designers (which is my daily job).
I will use this as long as I can - but I'm already afraid that there won't be a suitable replacement machine since everything tends to be soldered in nowadays with RAM being on the low-end.
