Hi,

i building some new Sound Stuff and thinking about which Port Adresses are the best to use.
I need 3 Adresses,

i`m thinking about something in 3xxh Range,
what's addresses are the best to use ? or maybe recommended ? its pretty crowded already 😀

Maybe the 39xh Range is fine:

Seems 380/390h conflicts with AWE32.. so also no perfect choice.

Lot of old cards etc. use 10bit address decode which means that mirroring makes most of the top range polluted and you don't really have much free space to use...
Effectively you can mostly use holes in 200....3FF range, there should be decent amount of range to use still, especially in a games orientated computer where you won't have much else besides SB at 22x(062x/0A2x/0E2x/122x......), MPU at 33x, FM at 38x and maybe few other things. There's lot of room between 380...3FF and 280...2FF for example.

Seems AWE32/SB32 placing PnP Stuff in 38x/39x somewhere, if i put something in this Range CTCM will no longer find the Card.
230h seems fine.

I try to find the datasheet for the AWE.. maybe there is something explained.
