How do I adjust window size of dosbox other than ALT + ENTER?

When I alt + enter, it shrinks everything down than normal size and is smaller even than windowed size. So ALT+Enter doesn't do anything for me. Is there a way for me to make the window bigger so my games look... more decent?

uhm try this:
open dosbox.conf

set fullscreen to true
set fullresolution to 1024x768 (or maybe even 1280x1024)
set output to ddraw or to overlay

set the scaler to advinterp3x
save the file
and start dosbox.
Play with these parameters if you don't like the result.
