Hello,

Got my hand on a Zoltrix AV307 card also known as Audio Plus 6400 PnP V.2 .
All I could find for this card is this archive of a web page:
ftp://wow1.tv/zoltrix/ZoltrixUS_Backup/Multim … 307-drivers.htm

There is a DOS driver with filename 64d1.zip, but I am unable to find it anywhere.
The chip on it is a CMI8329.

This card interest me because it is supposed to be SB16 compatible, have a good OP3 reproduction and no bug around the MPU-401 port like most sound blaster.

Maybe one of you has the DOS drivers for this card.
Many thanks

Many thanks.

I think this driver should land in the Vogon drivers archive.

Terrible card, by the way. I've never touched it again after doing a quick test.

Not surprised . Zoltrix was known mainly for its low prices . Some of the stuff they sold was actually good value, some of it not so much .

Why terrible card?
I did installed it. This driver is very fine. I just removed the PnP jumper and no problem to install it in my Compaq 486 MT PC. To install an Opti one, I have to install PnP software, here not.
And it is a good SB16 compatible, I just tested Doom with a Midi card on it and it works just fine with Sound Blaster + Genral midi. Mpxplay use 16bits sound with SB16 mode.

But I did plug it to a not very good speakers set, so I can not tell about the sound quality yet.

Sound quality isn't that great and you'll soon find out that compatibility isn't great either. DOOM is not a good example, probably every manufacturer made sure that their sound cards work with that.

Good to know, yes I did not test it very well yet, just installed it 1H ago in hope to replace a couple Vibra 16 + Opti card for midi in this computer.
I have more cards to test anyway, an AV310 with CMI8330 for example which is maybe better or an ESS Audio Drive.
And in the end if I don't find a card to replace the SB16 with SB16 compatibility, I will end-up installing my AWE32 CT3900 in.
