I'm looking for any sources of EISA configuration .CFG files. Does anyone have any? There is no need to check if I already have them, I can do that. So far I've found 259 more .cfg.

I've retrieved all the .CFGs and ECUs from this post:
NEC Proserva V Plus (dual socket 7 system) (have a lead on multiple of these)
thanks to PC Hoarder Patrol for finding some.

Does anyone want to add some/know where I can find some?

Link to collection is in signature.

You probably already have these: http://www5.ncr.com/support/support_drivers_p … pc_library_cfgs
Most of the recent ones I got were for the NEC Proserva. Will dig thru my archives but am guessing some may have come from your older website.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Hi, yeah sorry it had to move ip's, something to do with my hosting co. should stay there for a long time now. Yes thanks got the NCR ones.

Do you know the post count you need before you can send PM's? i wanted to try to contact eisapc who I think did this site:
https://web.archive.org/web/20040208152052/ht … nzel/cards.html

I think there are a few I don't have, but most of the .cfg's arn't archived.

Think 50 posts is what auto triggers the PM enabled (or maybe it was 30, was such a long time ago hahaa).
I had an old link to some Dell Eisa config diskettes for some workstations & servers (Like Poweredge 2200 from 1996 era) but the files are still at Dell luckily

thanks, looked thru that lot as well as:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsd … cy?app=products
But i seam to already have all of them. <grumble> Oh that website is awkward. I think 2004 was the high-point of web design. Constant squiggly-gif loading images, multiple times on a single page?! Why is there a requirement now to make every webpage "active"? It's driver download, it doesn't need to be flashy, in fact that just makes it annoying and slow</grumble>

Anyway, got them as far as I can tell. Had a look thru archive.org's 2005 dell.com and did find their ftp server:
http://web.archive.org/web/20050419195705/htt … //ftp.dell.com/
not sure whats there, but may be of use to someone.

I am trying to track down the ECU for a dell OmniPlex 590, note not "OptiPlex". I found it about 15 years ago but misplaced it, never found it again. It's like the OmniPlex line has been removed from the Internet. I know it's not a typo because I have one.

N-E-Way...If anyone has any links, leads or whatever please let me know.

Any of these what you need?

https://web.archive.org/web/19970725100740/ht … ilelib/10fe.htm

Found the OmniPlex support page at https://web.archive.org/web/19970617044207/ht … 5XX/default.htm but the links don't go anywhere obvious file-wise, so just hand edited the URLs to get the above

EDIT: just noticed that if you search for the filenames they're also still available on the active Dell website 😀

Hmm the only one with Dell Omniplex 5xx System is DEL0048.cfg. No other ref's in any of the other cfg's I can find. Is in C12, 13 and 14.

Feel free to contact me, I just did not check my mails for weeks.
I will be lucky to share my collection with you.
Just did a swap on cfgs with another user on a german classic computer forum.

I still did not find the time to resurrect my eisapc.de site again.
My university webspace was deleted after I stopped working there,
but there is still a local copy of all the files on home server

@mR_Slug, turns out Dell do still host all the files even if they don't make it too obvious

Wow big response, so long post.

Re, dell FTP. There are at least 4 different addresses for the ftp (accessed via http) on archive.org. To keep this short details are here:

Thanks for the link. It lead me to a simmilar page that shows the files by system name:
https://web.archive.org/web/19970617042433/ht … lelib/262_4.htm
(use the next page, previous page links at the bottom to navigate)

Got all the files (drivers and ECU etc) for the Omniplex 4xx and 5xx. I've put them here:

Ah-ha!, so my archiving was done in vain, that is a pair of very useful links.
Thank you

Yes file EISA_C12.EXE and C13 have it, those can be extracted directly to HD under Win32 without writing to a floppy disk (some Dell and Compaq stuff forces you to write to a floppy as you know) or at least I was able to under XP 32bit.

Yes, it was 1ST1 indeed.
He just told me he forwarded you my files allready.
The wold is getting small if it comes to such sophisticated stuff like EISA-cfg-files.

I see that you already have the DPTA410 config file but do not list what adapters it is for. This is info from the .CFG file

This configuration file is for use with all Distributed
Processing Technology SmartCache III and SmartRAID EISA to SCSI
Host Bus Adapters. This includes the PM2022, PM2122, PM3122,
and PM3222, all with or without floppy.
Key features of the adapter are:
Up to 64MB of disk cache w/ ECC protection
ECC protection of data across SCSI bus
RAID-0, 1, and 5
33MB/sec EISA burst transfer
SCSI-2 compliant
10MHz SCSI sync transfer
IDE emulation
Universal EATA driver support

Are you interested in images of the original floppies? What about documentation scans?

Yes original images are generally the best source for .CFGs. But if i find any .CFG that is unique/different version i include it. I'm not really looking for documentation/drivers. Bitsavers is generally the best place for that. However if it is a small file I often include it for convenience. Some disk images with .CFGs include drivers/docs anyway.

So if you have anything please let me know.

I have the original disks for a DPT SmartCache III SCSI controller as well as all the original documentation. There are 4 floppy disks. Do you have images of those already?
