What I mean is that you shouldn't see any plastic when looking at the card from below. Just the metal shell should be visible.
There are four or five different variants of that connector standard. The spacing between the pins and the edge of the board differs by increments of two or three millimeters.

I soldered what i have in my Parts Bin now.

What Type is the RCA Jack ? as you ordered already from Mouser root42, maybe you can tell me Partnumber ?

i miss only few small parts.
I can substitute 2N2222 with some other NPN Type i have plenty.
Some nice ones also in Alu Case 😀

If you use SwinSID you should get Precision Socket, the feather contacts are not good at all for round pins.

@matze79: just check the Mouser project. I attached it to the video description and I think I also posted it a few messages up. There you can see all the parts that I used. I swapped out the DB15 connector for a better one with hex screws, though.

I've updated the documentation a bit. Now it contains jumper settings and a prominent note that explicitly says that you have to adapt the BOM to the variant you want to build.

Cool. I did not realize the notes for the resistor population for the different SIDs. I will get a real SID soon, on loan so I will have to try to rework that section and remove the unnecessary parts. And I see that there are even more changes for the audio output. Would be nice to have jumpers to switch between 6581 and 8580 though... 😀 Or maybe even between SID and STM32!

If the SID you plan to borrow is a 6581, you might be able to get away with lifting pin 1 (bottom right) of the regulator and bridging pin 2 and 3, setting VDD to 12V.
If it's an 8580, you will have to replace the two configuration resistors (for VDD=9V) and probably also the SID's filter capacitors. (Note to self: Add a note with 8580 capacitor values!)
The other passives in the STM32 variant are unnecessary in the SID variant, but won't really do anything, meaning that you can leave them in there.

Out of interest, has anybody tried this card with SwinSID and Ultima 6?

I have a similar one (Russian PCB crediting Fagear's card and strongly resembling it) and have both SID (6581) and SwinSID (set to same). Half the notes in the U6 title tune seem to be missing with SwinSID. Could my SwinSID be dead, or is this pretty much expected behaviour?

Hm i have no problem and my Fagear Card is running fine with SwinSID.
It sounds "almost" same then 6581, there only small differences.

Lol, I discovered this project only 3 hours after the giveaway stream, that's too funny. Are PCB's available for purchase at this time? I'd love some SID magic in my DOS machine, I don't have a C64 anymore and used to only run soundmon really

The project is open source, so you can order your own PCB, if you like!

Sounds the same as on mine. It's more than just the pitch (which is close enough that I can't hear a difference), it's missing notes, maybe a whole voice, compared to the same thing with the real SID 😮

No, there are no PCBs left. It was only a five-piece run for evaluation purposes. This card had never been built before, so we couldn't know whether it really works.
But as root42 said, you can always download the KiCAD files and order a new batch of boards. If you or anyone else want(s) to do that, feel free to announce it here!

If it doesn't have to be this specific design, you could also ask Fagear for one of his SSI-2001 compatible cards. I don't know whether he still sells them.

Are you sure that you're not comparing it to the AdLib version?

Indeed. I *THINK* I put everything in there (except for the STM32), so you probably you need actually LESS.

@benedikt: any chance that in the future we might simply have three jumpers, to choose STM32/6581/8580?

Furthermore: Look at what I just got on loan - let's hope it still works!
