I really wish there was a 5.25" to USB adapter so I could hook up 5.25" drives to a newer computer for imaging purposes.

There is Kryoflux.

https://www.kryoflux.com/

Yeah.... but it costs too much for the few 5.25" floppies I would need to image.
I guess the main reason cheaper one like the 3.5" floppy to USB adapters (cheapest is $10.75 on eBay) doesn't exist is probably due to not enough demand.

If I could get one that was in the price range of a Gotek or even a bit more, I would be all over it.

Generic USB to floppy drive adapters do exist too, but they are not common . There was a thread about those a while back .

You guys that have purchased a Roland RA-50, be sure to let us know the score on whether the unit includes the sound effects, as per CM-32L...

Thanks

I will . Are there any good recommended games, preferably available on GOG/Steam or as freeware (no "abandonware" please, for obvious reasons), that I should try to showcase the CM32L capability (if present) ?

Bought an original CH Flightstick (with side throttle) in great condition locally for $3. Have not tried it yet but have high hopes it still works ok.
Just like this one: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/yV8AAOSw-25dlNlz/s-l1600.jpg

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

It does not include the sound effects as far as I am aware, it is basically a normal MT-32 second generation, not a CM-32L.

The wiki entry will tell you which games make use of the extra CM-32L sound effects

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MT-32 … _computer_games

Might & Magic 3 - Isles of Terra is available on GOG and make good use of the extra sounds (footsteps etc.)

Some CPU's arrived in the mail today, all look brand new and too good to use, but of course I will test anyway.

Congrats on your findings, especially that AMD N80186. I always dreamt of a 186 system like the SIEMENS PC-D but they are out of the range I'm willing to pay if in good condition. Although I know compatibility is somewhat limited (close to not existent).

Happy the owner kept his promise, and sold to me. Others were interested in this pristine MT-32 as well.

Serial 840477, 1st gen MT-32. At 110 EUR, I think it's a fair given current market prices.

And while I was on the move, I scored this EIZO for 10 EUR.

Some cards I saved from the crusher today. Pulled from complete PCs... Beside some cards missing the bracket (not a problem I have some spares) they are in very good visual condition...

Nice! Is that a miro OPL4 card? Would love to know which OPL4 cards have DOS drivers.
