I've been having great success on my amd64 with Dosbox, even Daggerfall is playable - that's really great (heh, better than Oblivion in every aspect besides graphics). But when I run it in fullscreen mode, it retains its aspect ratio (320x200) and does not get stretched to occupy the whole screen. So I get something like a 1024x640 view on my 1024x768 desktop, with black bands on top and bottom. What concerns me more is that the graphics look a bit distorted, since it is meant to be stretched to a 4:3 ratio. Is there any way I can accomplish this? I am running Dosbox 0.65 on Gentoo Linux.

Stupid me, I just played with the settings a bit more and it looks like setting

output=surface
fullresolution=original
windowresolution=original

Looks fabulous, just like it did in real DOS! I had fullresolution on 1024x768 before this change, so Dosbox just scaled it instead of changing the resolution, therefore the aspect problems.
