i'm Looking for DosBox to help support legacy applications not games....
I wanted to see if there were some quick yes/no answers to this thought and a couple particular questions.
I unfortunately have a network, with the latest hardware in regards to quality/performance but I am largely running Windows98 in order to support (2) of our legacy applications that will not run properly under anything else.
My primary problem of course is printing.
I have a microsoft network and need network printing to work where I can map an LPT port to a UNC printer.
Under Windows98, it works, but as you run more windows apps, we all know memory and other system resources drop, and then Windows becomes unstable (as if it needs any encouragement) and then it either freezes, crashes, or needs to be restarted in order to get the performance back.
The application I am looking to support is developed under FoxPro.
We will be upgrading this thing some day, however it is a substantial undertaking so I've been band-aiding this thing forever...
Thanks for any and all help in advance!
