Agreed that 133MHz FSB on a 440BX is overclocking . That said, my 440BX based P3B-F 1.03 is stable running at 133MHz with an FX5900XT , as are many other P3B-F boards .

The Abit BX133 was obviously marketed as being 133MHz capable and I doubt they had to resort to binning chipsets.

My guess would be that 133MHz FSB on the 440BX chipset itself just works, even if out of spec, and that stability issues on certain boards are implementation dependent .

Although being a Socket 370 Board, My DFI GCB60-BX/C1 Will run my modded Tualatin Chip at 140fsb with no problems. 150fsb would boot into windows but crash when doing a 3DMark run.

Current Ikea cabinets were made of some cardboard, bending down quite a bit. Not so solid after all... or they just can't handle 40 hard drives and 15 cd/dvd drives on ones shelf :')

Not sure aboutOC'ing but I think you need a revision 3.x board for the best 100MHz support (up to 1GHz). My revision2.5a board is limited to 800MHz (850 at a push but not too stable)

Out of curiosity, how did you get an 8x AGP video card to run in a 1x/2x AGP slot?

Geforce FX cards are universal AGP capable . They can run in a3.3 volt AGP 1.0 slot at AGP 2X speed .

Also came up with a nifty idea for the BBC & Electron whilst they're not in use on their respective screens - coded a simple on-screen message in BASIC, making use of flashing colours.

Additionally I made some finishing touches to a simple Welcome Presentation that I coded in BASIC on the ZX81. With a silly interactive Easter Egg included in the code. 🤣

I know Woodgrain 486s are probably a dead fad at this point, but I couldn't help myself.

I got my VLB IDE card to finally play nice. Apperently it doesn't like the second IDE channel even so much as being touched. So I hooked the CD up to my soundcard instead.

a 16mb ram and 5/4 floppy disk drive update are on the way. But otherwise this DX4 build is pretty much done ^^

LGR approves of the Woodgrain 486. Got my Socket 7 system up to speed by adding the aweutil /s at the end of the games.bat file when the exit key or after the game is done to reset the AWE32 music sound font.

After receiving some sewing machine lubricant in the mail, and to a lesser extent getting bored, I decided to go around and give my old fans some love. In the case of my 98 machine, it didn't change too much thanks to there mostly being old tiny CPU fans in use in that, it had a rather nice impact on my old Macs. Specifically, I managed to get the single fan inside my 400MHz G3 to be audibly quieter. In the case of my DP 1.42GHz G4, I managed to bring the temps down rather nicely along with making it just a wind tunnel, instead of having it be a loud wind tunnel

No slot1 board officially supports a Tualatin CPU, AFAIK .

AFAIK, most Coppermine capable slot1 440BX boards can run a Tualatin CPU with an appropriate (usually modified) socket 370 to slot1 adapter to
a) adapt the slightly different pinout (always required)
b) provide the lower voltage that a Tualatin CPU requires (some boards have VRMs that can already do that, others require a socket 370 to slot1 adapter with its own VRM. The PowerLeap IP3/T is the only adapter with an integrated VRM) .

EDIT: Even the SE440BX can work with a Tualatin with an adapter (more recent BIOSes probably have lockouts, knowing Intel), and so can the QDI Brillianx 1s/2000, according to this --> https://web.archive.org/web/20060202072822/ht … mpatibility.htm

EDIT2: There is a big gap between what board manufacturers officially supported and what can work safely with the proper adapter .

I'm running a 1400mhz Tualatin S on my P3C-E (i820 Slot 1 board) with a Lin Lin adapter on a slocket with no issues.

Board runs the cpu at 1.45v.
