So, I got a copy of Re-Volt pretty recently. I decided to patch it to the latest official version, 1207, and all of a sudden the CD music doesn't play anymore. Unpatched it works just fine, but now it doesn't even seem to access the CD drive at all. I like the added EAX functionality this version has, so is there anything I can do to fix this besides using an unofficial patch that won't work on my Win98 PC? Thanks.

1207 is an official NO-CD patch, which also disables the CD rom usage, thus no music. I researched this a many years ago and never found a easy solution.

Please check https://revolt.fandom.com/wiki/Soundtracks and specifically inmm.dll solution, it might work for Win9x.

Which is also stated in first post of the thread in your previous source

My apologies about that, then. I'll look into it soon, though I do use VXD drivers for my sound card. Does that matter for this?
