@imi, love it, and definitely way more retro than the NIB rackable Silverstone CW03 I picked up at a backruptcy auction over a decade ago, still sitting unused to this day 🙁
Integrated displays? I should build a portable gaming computer.

If you are happy with very early text based DOS games, these screens are about the same size as early luggables, which are kindof portable 😜

It does have some bulging caps, and he wasn't able to find the I/O plate (and I'll have to find a northbridge haetsink). But both an XP2200 and an XP2500 were included, so I should have a Socket A system running soon.
Another successful surgery!
Present configuration: 2500+ @ 2,200 MHz (3200+ it only took going from 1.650 to 1.675 core voltage) two gigs of DDR and a 6200 LE video card which also had to be recapped. The 250 gig SATA drive had to be jumpered to 1.5 to bedetected by the Via SATA controller. Years ago I was given a Socket A motherboard that had a Silicon Image SATA controller, and I was able to mod the BIOS with the latest controller BIOS so that it could detect drives up to a terabyte, and they no longer had to be set to SATA 1.5, but that doesn't seem to be possible with this Via controller. I read some posts in old forums where people had to extract a newer controller BIOS from a more recent motherboard BIOS from a different manufacturer, and insert that, and that's more effort than I'm willing to put into something that works as is.
After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?

I've wanted that case for quite some time I just can't afford it sadly
As you maybe can see on the case badge, it had an 386 DX 40Mhx inside..
Thats what iam also intented to build in..
Find this nice case local.. It needs some retro brite on the yellowed parts.. bezels and buttons an perhaps the stand also.. But the case iam only would clean it inside and outside.
Have to check and clean the psu also. Floppy drive and cd-rom going to be removed. And put some nicer parts back.(more period correct)
Iam happy with it for the price i paid for..
~ At least it can do black and white~
absolutely stunning :0
do you know what model CD-ROM drive that is?
schmatzler wrote on 2020-08-17, 19:15:The tower has arrived now and it's a goldmine.
The case is absolute bonkers - there are five 5,25" drive bays and six 2,5" drive bays in there
I just found out by accident that I snatched a rebranded In-Win case.
It's actually an In-Win Q500 from 2001. Neat!
Wasn't even that expensive back then, only 99$.
Edit:
imi wrote on 2020-08-17, 19:35:have fun, the in-win is awesome glad it survived.
Now I know what you meant with that. It's the brand! I actually thought this was some kind of "eBay slang" because I've bid at the last minute. 😜
I'm an idiot.

What did you use to take the photographs? They almost look like renders. I like 😀
I got today a mouse. 😀 I was not really looking up the background, yet, but microsoft mouses are my soft spots, and this looked rather funky and old.
And made in Japan... 😀
ps: I paid 20usd for it... not sure if it's good or bad.
That is a microsoft "mouse port" mouse. Rather uncommon. Well worth what you paid for it, provided it works.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

My guess is nothing in particular apart from a nice natural light coming from a window on the right? But I agree - the contrast between the darker tabletop and the lighter computer looks quite nice 👍

imho it's an awesome price, not really cheap, but you don't find them for anything near that usually.
I have two mouseport cards by now, but no mouse 🙁

haha x3
yeah, the In-Win case was the reason I was watching that auction in the first place... but the sheer lack of space I'm dealing with combined with the fact that I already have a Q500 and the hardware that was in it I thought I'd pass even though the price was amazing ^^
Anybody want some in-port mouse cards? I have a box full that came in a scrap lot.
No clue if any of them work.
