don't mount your C drive as cdrom, only your D drive.

Ok I did mount the d drive and tried to install and it said not enough memory

You still need to mount a folder as c drive 😀

But "mount c c:/ -t cdrom" would prevent DOSBox from messing up the host operating system.

What would the game be called to run it firstdriv? I don't know what I would call my game I'm very new to dos

I got the c drive mounted I still can't get the directory I'm in the c drive though

Here is from the windows side

Use a dedicated folder for dosbox that you mount. DO NOT MOUNT YOUR C ROOT AS C IN DOSBOX!
Follow the guide more closely

From the picture above, I can see, you would to enter the foll'wing commands:

mount c "c:/documents and settings/staff/My Documents/oldgames"
cd carmenw
