Bought today this nice oldskool mainboard, could someone help to identify it?

image0.jpg

It has russian 8086 processor clone on it, so it must be from former soviet block countries. But some components seems to be from western block.
On bottom there are some ports with labels, (drukarka, klawiatura, podstawa) is it polish?

Just as a curiosity, as I know nothing about this era of hardware. The keyboard connector is labeled XT, but there is another DIN5 footprint 1 cm down labeled PC. Is this just so the connector matches the hole in the case (does it move between XT and AT chassis?) Or the KBC is multistandard and can listen for XT and AT keycodes on different pins?

Yes, drukarka=printer and klawiatura=keyboard.

Good question, didnt notice this so far. I assume its only an option to match different case holes. In general AT and XT mainboard dimensions are the same.

Yeah, it's Polish. I can only see the DRAM from TI, logic chips are Polish (Unitra Cemi) and Soviet.

I'm pretty sure it may have come from some purpose built equipment like this one:
https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/polski-kom … 7512002368.html
as it seems it has modular build typical for 80s scientific or industrial equipment.

I'm in process of getting rid of stuff like this at my work right now (I have several large modules with similar dimensions/proportions to this).

Have this for a while , it had a bad psu so i used another one and it worked fine as soon as i replaced the ODIN battery

I can not find any info for this machine . It's an ACER AcerPac 430 486DX2/66MHZ with no cache but with an interesting multimedia/soundblaster card .Now i have to find an AT psu that does not need the power button to power down .

that just all fits so well together, I love it.

Picked up these two items. I only need the laptop for the screen so I can replace my HiNote Ultra CT475's screen.

And this awesome thing that I'll try using with my Virtual IO I-Glasses, 🤣 it should be hilarious for DOS VR gaming. I think instead of wearing it on my back, I'll wear it on my chest so I can really feel the bullet impacts.

Wiretap how does that vest work does it have some sort of interface card or is it like a subwoofer that you wear?

It has a 3.5mm audio jack input/output which converts certain bass notes to vibrations via motors and a subwoofer. I mostly just bought it because it's oddware and I found it funny.

Was that MU100 @ Ebay in Germany ? It was a bit tempting, but decided myself to go a different route..... the Korg one ...
Anyway those are very nice findings, congrats !

Picked up this lot a week ago

Some old harddrives for my XT/386/486. I feel old harddrives are getting harder and harder to find. For the old machines I feel a SD card is cheating and it's not the same experience without the sound of an old harddrive.

Bought myself a Korg AG-10 @ 40€, it doesn't have a display or controls besides volume and power. Beyond the great work @ wavetable.nl there is no good way to know what to expect from it (game wise), so I checked some game tunes, and made my mind and jumped on it.

Received also today a box full of video cards in mixed sate, some work, some don't and others have video ram issues. Only had time to plug them in quickly and test the post, so maybe I can salvage some of them.

An early wearable transductor - nice! I wouldn't call it oddware in sense it's nothing odd in modern VR community to use or custom-build such devices, but nice early specimen that's for sure!

that míro card is a beauty, also that speedstar 24X... and not one, but two LMSI controllers :0

I also wanna get a Korg AG-10 sometime, but they don't turn up for sale very often... or too expensive ^^
but yeah the MU100 was from ebay.de, it was a tad expensive too, but eh with box... the person who sold it probably just got it for the DX PLG card (see the DX sticker on front?) and sold the unit itself again ^^ but I also got some other stuff from the same seller so I thought why not.

Nice haul Xicor!

Today was a good retro day for me too. The postman brought a package with this little treasure inside.
