Nope. Hardcoded in io.sys.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

I read it can be hex edited to say whatever you want, as long as its the same size and length etc but you cannot just change it.

Well yes, you can edit all uncompressed binaries text, that does not have some self checksum implemented. But it does not change the functionality. Hey there is even LZ-DOS a hacked up (logo ripped) and compressed MS-DOS 7.10 IO.SYS only like 60kb.
