Hy QBix,

The D.O.G. frontend is more or less up and running without any serious problems. But still caution is the best defence when it comes to new programs. You can see the new features of the new to come release and the problems found posted on my blog. If any problems would occur, then just leave a comment on the appropriate blog.

The colors on the site are still a bit crude, am a beginner to the whole HTML things but well, I think I can cope with it. I'll change the colors this week, any suggestions?

On the site you'll find things like the History, a Blog to post requests and bug reports. Still no manual though, but its more or less like DFend.

The current version is about two weeks old, so yes and no that it still is a beta.

Don't forget to vote for the next mayor feature addon.

Erik.

Hi All,

This is to let you all know the D.O.G. site is down till the 15th of next month. This is because my site went over its bandwidth limits and, well... got frozen.

Nope, by far a good thing. I'm looking for other free hosting at the moment. One that hasn't got a 500MB bandwidth limit.

And well... I didn't expect D.O.G. to be flying out the window like that. 2000 visitors only in one week. 😳 I only expected about 200 visitors in one month. 😊 It was a bad choise.

By the time the website is back on its feet, i'm going to put all packages containing anything bigger then 50kb onto another server, one without a bandwidth limit.

Well, you've got me there. I'm taking this as a lesson well learned, the hard way.

Yesterday I had put it on MegaUpload, but then the damage was already done. The download is :

Hi,

Don't know what happend but the site is back up and I immediatly redid the datastreams completely. As of now I can normally support about 20000 pageloads and unlimited downloads, and well I hope it is enough.

I hope so though... 😦 cross your fingers.

Erik, I think you should check the navigational links on your website, there appear to be some target settings missing in the html (for example, clicking on 'Download' only reloads the navigation frame, not the rightmost frame).

That is strange, the link is set as target="_blank" so that it should open a new IE/Firefox with the FileHost in it.

What browser are you using?

Firefox, IE works correctly. Strange thing.. I guess it must be some Firefox setting or one of my extensions then.. nevermind.

And pressing the "middle" mouse button to open a new tab? Does that work?

Strange though because I too only use firefox. I only tested the site with IE.

Well, middle-clicking correctly opens a new window, but downloading can not commence since Firefox does not response to clicking on 'Download File' inside the ohShare window.

Well, I find that really strange because, for me everything is working like it would in the latest firefox. Even middle clicking the Download File in ohShare works. No extentions though. Strange, thats the only thing I can say.

Are you using a popup stopper of some kind, except the one standard in firefox?

You're right, Adblock (http://adblock.mozdev.org/) is interfering. Oh well..

Oef, I already was browsing for a problemfix for firefox and thinking of changing Hosts.

I'll add a hint property to the links warning people of popupblockers.

Well, i did come across a new firefox still beta but it does work. Firefox 2.0 for the one that wants to know.
