As the title says I have a fresh copy of windows 10 and reinstalled Outlaws. The game will run but I cannot get the configurator to run so i can switch it to software mode or any other mode. i have never had this issue before so I am a bit puzzled. i have tried multiple compatibility settings to no avail.

Do you mean you've previously had no problems running the game under Windows 10? It's easy to imagine one of the big Windows 10 updates (or an update for your graphics card) breaking compatibility.

Have you tried swede1872's Unofficial Outlaws Installer ?

You can also try the GOG forums.

Do you get an error message when you run olcfg.exe ? Does it appear in Task Manager and appear to be running?

I have had no prior issues up until a few moths ago then it randomly started working again. I am playing the GOG release. Basically you click on the launcher then nothing. No error no showing up in task manager.

Have you tried turning off DEP? Once DEP was enabled and Diablo didn't run for me for a long period, than I disabled and it ran. Now it suddenly runs with DEP enabled again.

Probably a bad winmm.dll wrapper.

I got it to work by dropping dgvoodoo2 in and replacing both the 3dfx DLL and DX ones
