Hello all,
Is there a website that hosts:

1) Floppy images of DOS games (you know, like the .ADF format in Amiga)

2) Is there a utility that converts said DOS game images back to real floppy diskettes?

3) What is the format of these game images?

Thanks!

The answer to Q1 is frowned upon posting in this public forum as it implies encouragement of copyright infringement. However they are easy to find via Google or Archive.org. legality may vary depending on your region.

In answer to Q2, most DOS floppy images are ripped as simple sector copies. Usually rawrite for Windows will write them back to a floppy (of the same size). On Mac or Linux 'dd' will suffice in most cases.

That said, there are not an awful lot of DOS floppies with disk protection so you will actually find almost all of them have been archived as just the files themselves, unlike Amiga games which didn't use a standard floppy filesystem in the majority of cases.
