The game had been going fine for a while but now every so often carmageddon just freezes up in the middle of a race. Has anyone experienced this and found a way to fix it?...

PS- It happens mainly on the snowy stage, the 3rd 99 rank race. But I've had it happen on Main Street and Idustrial Accident.

This is a known problem. Its actually the game that shuts down. If I can get it working under VDos32 eventually, I might be able to track down the cause. At the moment, the only work around is to play those levels in software mode.

Yes. The software video version of the game doesn't crash, but it obviously it doesn't produce glide commands, and so wont drive Glidos.
