You guys missed modem-drivers.com 😉

Thanks for the workaround, I'd been wondering how these sites were connected for a while!

Hey, I've finished www.soundcard-drivers.com

soundcard-drivers.png
Filename
soundcard-drivers.png
File size
253.38 KiB
Views
1578 views
File license
Fair use/fair dealing exception

I did some really light edits.

What I did :
- I added "strike" tags to links that didn't lead to any archive. That way we can still know what used to be in there at some point but you'll know that you can't get anything from there
- I swapped the links to the malware for the files I retrieved and stored locally

I managed to save ~19GB of data for soundcard-drivers.com
Now I'm downloading www.video-drivers.com ...

I haven't been banned yet so I think I will never be banned from them 😀

Yes I'm doing all the sites. Now that I have my scripts working I think I can try to make everything automated.

Are we sure all the xxxx-drivers.com sites have been listed here or are we missing some ?

I have uploaded soundcard-drivers.com to archive.org : https://archive.org/details/xxxxxxx-drivers.com

Other archive will arrive at the same spot when they're ready.

I'm still waiting for all of ftp.support.acer-euro.com to become available 😀

Video drivers will be much more useful to me though, along with any motherboard drivers 😀 Nice work

bios-drivers.com available on archive.org !

Three more to go (cdrom, printer and modem). They should be much lighter though I think.

Awesome!

Any chance you could put the HTML files in separate zip files on archive.org? Also shouldn't it be possible to view contents of a .gz file on archive.org? If not could it be an idea to try and re-upload one of the smaller archives in zip format to see if it displays the contents?

If you have the HTML you can find the filename and then download it individually.

I'm not really used to archive.org to be honest. How do you open a .zip on archive.org ?

I've been talking to evasive to host these on elhvb.com. If that becomes a reality there shouldn't be any worries about struggling to download gigabytes of content for one archive 😀

To view the contents on ZIP or ISO files (I don't know if other files are supported), click on Show all under Download Options

Example: https://archive.org/details/ESS_16_Bit_Sound_ … stallation_Disk

Then you'll get a list of all the files. "View Contents" is then available next to a supported archive file, which takes you to the following list: https://archive.org/download/ESS_16_Bit_Sound … ation_Disk.zip/

Then just click the individual file you want to download.

.7z also works.

Even tar.gz files that have been uploaded for some time do not show contents (incase it was a feature that would take some time to show up on new files):

I'm uploading bios-drivers as 7z archive, we'll see if that works 😀

Edit : well it "worked" but the preview is totally broken ...
Let's try with a zip instead.

Edit 2 : seems to work much better with zip. I guess I'll have to reupload the other archives then.

Allright ! I have downloaded all the sites and patched all of them. I'll upload them to archive.org overnight. I'll replace the tar.gz archives as well.
