I would buy the V5 6000 clone from anthony if it would be available for purchase in given price range (~1500 usd).

Many 3Dfx and Pentium III-S stuff.

Proud owner of a V5-6000 3700 Rev A here, but I've been watching this project (as well as all of your others) and would be interested in this one once available as well.

US350, not cheap but probably similar price to performance of new cards in this current market, 🤣.

EDIT: And just to be clear. I think it is a completely fair price for what it is. I'm very happy with it.

I've seen the latest videos above where it's tested 3dmark2001 and I've seen that 2800 score more or less. I didn't remember how much the Voodoo5 5500 got with that bench and I've seen a video where the 5500 reached 2600 points with XP and a similar cpu. I don't understand beside being a far from light bench for those cards (3dmark2000 might be the best for it) but only 200 points more sounds strange.
Can someone confirm how much the slower double chip VSA-100 did score with 3dmark2001?

Yeah don't worry too much about this result yet. Pretty sure 2001se scales badly and the CPU is not the best. I'm sure Glide/OpenGL will scale better.

I understand 3dmark2001 was indeed an heavy real-GPU oriented bench already on the Pixel Shaders new generation of tech and the VSA-100 was already out of the games back then but still in the first three benchs I'd have expected a bit more fps difference. I suppose the card might not benefit that much from a more powerful cpu even if indeed it's worth a test on some Athlon 64 or Socket 775 board with drivers compatibility.
It might be interesting to run 3dmark2000 and some Direct3D and OpenGL games of those times and compare results with the 5500. 😉

So some quick results.

Quake 3 1280x1024 32bit the Voodoo 5 6000 is approx 90% faster. 45fps vs 86fps
Serious Sam 1024x768 100% improvement. 38fps vs 76fps.

So this is pretty good!

3dmark is a different story.

3dmark2000 is 5500 vs 7000
3dmark2001se is 2500 vs 3000
