Mounted the dir where gp2 folder is located. I then move to there and execute gp2.exe.
The result is:
DOSBox switched to max cycles, because of the setting: cycles=auto. If the game runs too fast try a fixed cycles amount in DOSBox's options.

Details would be useful. Is "gp2" Grand Prix II? (Are you expecting people to know this immediately..?)

Please be more precise. Are you saying that you are typing "cd blah" in DOSBox and then "gp2.exe", or something else?
Sorry, yes, it is Grand Prix II.
The second part is equally correct, I cd to gp2 folder and then type GP2.EXE on dosbox
Okay, other obvious questions:
Can you run other games in this version of DOSBox that you've compiled from source?
Have you been able to run GP2 in other versions of DOSBox?
(I might add that the lastest version of DOSBox is numbered 0.74-3, so I'm not sure where 0.74.2 would be from.)
A moment of Googling definitely suggests that people have run Grand Prix 2 in DOSBox in the past.
