I also have some rather large boards.. so yeah, the text shouldn't be about some specific card.

Maybe call it the "Super CHiLL Box XL" you can always add more random letters if you want... kinda like how the video card makers do.

A grille of ventilation holes above the voltage regulator on the interface would be great, as it can get quite hot. Even better would be standoff feet and a lower grille as well. With that kind of passive convective cooling you could stack multiple enclosures with less concern, but it may be asking too much.

Another idea: CHiLL printed on a "front panel" of the enclosure would like nice, and the dot of the "i" being a hole where a MIDI activity LED could go, for one day if/when the interface is revised to support it. 😀

Also: Are there any significant advantages over other enclosures like the Doxbox? How is it powered for example?

it uses the 'classic' CHiLL board (https://www.serdashop.com/CHiLL) which uses 9V DC barrel input
This is a prototype extra-large enclosure, the colors, text,... can still change, depending on your feedback

Is it not possible to put some support leg to accommodate the weight of the DB at the far end? Is is just floating on the WT header in your pictures?

A leg would be a nice idea.

I'm not aware of anything bigger, this is supposed to be the max size.

that e-wave sure will have enough room
i expect next revision of e-wave to be ready in about 4 weeks. if it is all ok, then first batch would be soon after
