I am having issues with this old flight sim above.

I can get it to run but the framerate is terrible. I know it can run smooth as I have seen youtube vidoes but they didnt share their settings.

I tried increasing the CPU cycles but that just made the plane fly right constantly... I tried switching cores, cpu and scalers and still get only 5fps.

There probably is a correct combinations of settings but I just dont know enough about dosbox to work it out

i tried it with dosbox-x with default settings
and aspect=true with 20.000 cycles
with soundblaster and mouse enabled and joystick disabled in dogfight setup
gfx settings in dogfight all set to max
runs without problems
