You could always remove the DOS compatibility card and put a G3 or G4 accelerator card in there.

yes but not both at the same time and because the 6100 uses onboard-gfx shared with memory,
it's better to go with g3/g4 and hardware-acc-gfx. beside that it's a really good comparision because both systems have 66Mhz. You can easily compare PPC against X86. 😀 In short: it fits better if you like both os and do not have enough space for two machines...

Because the cd-drive in my g4-cube does not eject cd's properly, I started to write some toast-images of my original games.
To bad I run into the same problems within win9x and so I can not hear red-book audio from the mounted image 🙁 that's really bad.

I tested this with tombraider gold. I probably will never get red-book audio from mounted images 🙁

I don't think that I can repair the CD-Rom in my G4-Cube.

I love how on the Macintosh version of Chuck Yeager's Air Combat they just recorded the music from an AdLib card.

My entry for this thread is Archon, which I played on a Mac Plus back in the day. The higher res graphics and bleeding edge fast twitch animations made it superior to the C64 version my cousins had and I assumed others. Those unicorns and Basilisks man, deadly things of wonder.

Pegasus Prime is listed but it's a remake and really has nothing in comparison to the original game and ironically the PC release (on steam) is the better version due to content being re-added that was omitted from the mac release.

That said, The Journeman Project/The Journeyman Project Turbo! plays better on the mac due to various game and engine tweaks (mostly QuickDraw transitions) that were unavailable in the Windows release.

I had no idea there was ever a 20th anniversary release. Nevermind then.

i placed mac version on the list as i thought it doesn't have black horizontal stripes between every second line during movies. but if pc dvd version doesn't have this problem too the game shouldn't be on the list.

The Windows version gives you 2 letters for leader name, 6 characters for date and a useless extension. Even playing on Vista enforce the 8.3 names. It makes it near impossible to keep your saves in any sort of order without making a separate subfolder for every game. Plus you had to load your saves via the ingame Windows 3.1 style dialog box. The Windows version does at least have the Mac version's other improvements and thus is superior to the DOS version.

If you allocate it more RAM you can drag that map window out to fully cover a 1920x1200 display. It's fantastic.

Only downside is there's less music, but what there is is high quality.

I know a game: Sega Superstars Tennis... it was never ported to PC, but did come to Mac! I'm still a bit bitter about it 😁

It would be really nice to kept games list in first post in in some online sheet and to all of them add 1 sentence why it should be better than on PC or other platforms.
